Ahhh customer service, a subject near and dear to my heart. At the end of the day the customer is choosing to spend their money with said supplier be it a grocery store, auto part store, dry cleaning service or even a fuel station. Sometimes the consumer doesn't have a choice, they have to buy groceries, they have to buy fuel but where they purchase those items is completely up to them. As the consumers discretionary income dwindles the value they expect for their money goes up, part of that value is service. People will choose to spend more money if there is better quality and service attached to it. Constant training, set and clearly communicated expectations followed up with quality reviews are great ways to manage service.
